Avatar 7:03pm Dan Bodah:

Avatar 7:04pm Dan Bodah:

A little eefy flavor to this tune
Avatar 7:06pm ranjit:

hi Dan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Richard S:

Congrats to WFMU on making their Hellraiser goal!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm mariano:

Hey Dan, Crew, folks. Glad to be here with y'all in the Well of Souls.
  7:08pm P-90:

Sounds a little like one of those panel shows on Fox...
Avatar 7:10pm Dan Bodah:

@mariano, ranjit, p-90, nice to see you all. Definitely looking to make Vocal Fry sound as much like Fox News as possible tonight.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Rene Kita's project reminds me of one time hiking in Montana's bear country. I'd say the word "bears" repeatedly at different pitch and other inflections I could think of.
  7:15pm northguineahills:

Peter Kowald is one the most amazing musicians I’ve seen live. He once did a duo w/ turntabilist Yoshio Kajiwara while he was in double bass. I couldn’t tell who was making which sound. He then passed the next night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm ultradamno:

Three headed, firebreathing cougar with a snake wig...that's art.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm Handy Haversack:

"Seven heads ... eyes of flame ..."

"Jesus?"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm mariano:

Dan: Perhaps not the way I'd sell it, lol -- but keeping an open mind ;)
  7:20pm DJ Purple Haze:

Hello!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm Handy Haversack:

Hey there, DJPH!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm Handy Haversack:

Just read a novel with a lot of Xibalba action. The gods of death feuding in postrevolutionary Mexico. And it's a love story! /Gods of Jade and Shadow/.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Purple Haze! How is school going?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm ultradamno:

My vote was cast around the first week of Oct.

I just assumed the debates would not sway my choices, and that was correct.
  7:24pm DJ Purple Haze:

@ken pretty good! I have dan b as a teacher
Avatar 7:31pm Dan Bodah:

@NGH, that's an amazing Kowald story. Lucky you got to see him before he passed. I never did see him.
Avatar 7:34pm Dan Bodah:

@HH, that sounds like a good read. I was just remembering the Popol Vuh and Chilam Balam -- I need to get a copy of my missing Dennis Tedlock translation of the Popol Vuh!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm Richard S:

You have to love the hats on these gentlemen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm Webhamster Henry:

Let’s do a zoom call ursonate!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm Ken From Hyde Park:

So ... typical class schedule?
Geography - Rivers and mountain ranges in the Tuva region
History - Spread of whistling across South Pacific islands
Gym - Breathing exercises
Math - Analyzing harmonic & overtone frequency ratios
Writing - Three paragraphs about yodeling
Avatar 7:41pm Dan Bodah:

Great idea WHH!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm Webhamster Henry:

Poke about Penn Sound for the subterranean poetry fest recordings. We couldn’t do it this year though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm Handy Haversack:

Alphorns at recess, Ken?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Yes, Handy, and on rainy days, it's "Find the Pauline Oliveros CD" indoors.
Avatar 7:56pm Dan Bodah:

DJPH just asked how long I've been doing Vocal Fry -- took a look and the 5 year anniversary was on 9/14/2020! Then looked back and found the playlist for my first ever show on WFMU -- wfmu.org... -- 2/28/2000. I opened with recordings of heart sounds and played Sainkho Namtchylak in that show as well.
  7:57pm Chuck:

Shawn Phillips is really groovy!!!...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm listener 126464:

Thanks DJs, cheers everyone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm mariano:

Thank you Dan! Thank you Crew, bye all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm Richard S:

Thank you! Catch you next week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm Handy Haversack:

Thanks, Dan! Another scorcher!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm Webhamster Henry:
