Thanks, Matt! "Lovers Rock" has the very '70s "cinema verite" feel to it. It's quite good.

Hi Mike!

Mike Sin:

Played a game of "Concentration" when listening to both Max Romeo's "Wet Dream" and this Hippy Boys track this week.
  12:38pm
Lee:

I think The Hippy Boys is one of the great band/rhythm section names, it always makes me feel good even just seeing it written down.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm
Mike Sin:

@Lee -- re: Hippy Boys -- basically a group of heavy hitters put together by Bunny Lee for a lot of his productions, correct?
  12:44pm
Lee:

@Mike: I think so, Aston & Carlton Barrett at the core I think, the nucleus of the Upsetters studio band and later part of The Wailers when they went to the UK.
Avatar 12:52pm
Terre T:

Damn this entire show is slaying me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm
Mike Sin:

@Lee -- I probably confused them with "The Bunny Lee Allstars". You are correct -- They hooked up Lee Perry.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm
Mike Sin:

Thanks, Terre T!

Again, I can't thank all you fine folks enough for listening and commenting today!

Buster Bloodvessel went on to run a Bed & Breakfast place in Margate, i was once reliably informed. I'd love to stay there sometime.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm
Mike Sin:

@ Lee -- Isn't Bad Manners still actually functioning "on and off" in some form?
  12:59pm
Lee:

@Mike: I'd imagine they're still on the go in some shape alright. Good to have the b&b as a back up, I suppose!
