Hi Terre T. I've been eating leftover homemade cranberry sauce like ice cream.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm
Frank In Queens:

We did T'giving different this year because, well, everything else is different this year! We had "turkey mole tamales, heirloom bean and wild rice salad, and roasted brussel sprouts. Pumpkin pie for desert.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm
Mike Sin:

A jumbo vegan "turkey" pot pie for me this year!

Terre T:

Hi DA - Happy Thanksgiving :)

Every T'Giving I usually get a ye olde default Tofurkey and pour
vegan mushroom soup all over it for "gravy"-
but this year I got Whole Foods pre-made vegan thanksgiving dinner: Mushroom loaf "turkey", smashed califlour +olive oil (mashed potato substitute ) etc. It was ok---like a 7/10 !
Frank in Queens -Dang yr T-dinner sounds insanely delicious---again u win the Most Desirable Dinner award!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm
Terre T:

@Franknin Queens - where did u get the "turkey" mole tamales ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm
Matt Clarke:

Sounds pretty good, Terre
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm
Matt Clarke:

Nice set, Selector Mikey
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm
Mike Sin:

I'm guessing Frankie's kitchen apron has the "You've tried the rest, now try the best!" twirling-mustache pizza guy printed on it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm
Matt Clarke:

Ha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm
Frank In Queens:

@Terre, Christina made it from scratch.
  12:32pm
Lee:

We had 'fauxphinoise' potatoes with oat cream, and a mushroom and nut roast. It was pretty good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm
Frank In Queens:

@Mike, not only do I have that apron, I also have the t-shirt, the bumper sticker, and that's the gold chain I wear around my neck says.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm
Frank In Queens:

*that's what....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm
Matt Clarke:

Frankie, I didn't know that you were the Italian chef model for the pizza box. The more we get to know you, the more secrets we uncover!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm
Matt Clarke:

Love this version
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
Mike Sin:

Hi Lee! Thanks for being here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
Matt Clarke:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm
Terre T:

@Mike- yes that Slim Smith -pretty great-- his voice is lovely!
@Frankin Queens- hahaha!
@Matt + Mike + Lee -were your T'giving dinners made from scratch as well or were pre-made?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm
Frank In Queens:

To be fair Matt, there are several models for the pizza box chef. But my image may very well be the best selling version.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm
Matt Clarke:

@Terre: From scratch
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm
Matt Clarke:

@Frankie: That must be why they say NYC pizza is best
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm
Terre T:

@Mike - this version of Crimson + Clover!! Wow love it ---even more spaced out than the original
  12:37pm
phat:

Happy Sunday, everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
coelacanth∅:

the way i understand it, there's the pizza box guy, and there's the pizza box guy helpers.
like santa claus.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
Frank In Queens:

Matt, no, it's the water. But my image definitely brings some validity to the cheese on NYC pizza.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
Matt Clarke:

Wow great tune
  12:38pm
Lee:

@Mike: Thanks, sounding great!
@Terre: from scratch. It sounds fancier than it really is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
Terre T:

Also side observation note:I did not realize how many Veegs peeps are also Ranksters!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
Mike Sin:

Matt -- Frankie had his own brand of olive oil and pizza sauce, worked as a high-powered consultant for the Food network, and modeled for the pizza box way before he ever picked a bass! This guy had an empire even before his Fender endorsement!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm
Frank In Queens:

Maybe we can get a veegs icon for the WFMU comments board?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm
Frank In Queens:

Yeah, but the olive oil company went belly up when my consumption couldn't keep up with production!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm
Matt Clarke:

And you sold your pizza sauce company to Marky Ramone, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm
Frank In Queens:

Er, the other way around that is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm
Frank In Queens:

That was a hostile takeover Matt!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm
Michael 98145:

sing it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm
Mike Sin:

Hello Michael 98145!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm
Matt Clarke:

What a tune. Great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm

@Matt -- I first knew Jackie Edwards through the Spencer Davis tracks of his they covered!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm
Mike Sin:

@Terre T -- Yeah, probably my favorite J5 track. One of the greatest bridges in a pop song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm
Terre T:

Barry Briggs' voice is almost as angelic as MJ's-
One of my fave MJ tracks as well
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm

Terre T:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm

  1:00pm
Lee:

@Mike: it could be, the song is credited to B. Eli and V. Barrett, if that helps?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm
Mike Sin:

@Lee -- Yep, that's it! Blue Magic had a big hit with the track in the US in '74.
