Would've been funny if Neil and Bruce had released their respective Born to Runs at the same time. It looks like Springsteen had released his songs in late 74 to radio though the single didn't come out until August 75.

Alice Cooper was one of my earliest concerts, maybe third or forth. Unfortunately I was a short 13 year old and when everyone else stood on their seats my view was blocked for the whole show. I'm tearing up just thinking about it.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:04pm Frank In Queens:

Head the Alice Cooper cover of Outrageous Cherry this morning. What a surprising choice! It's a pretty faithful version as well.
Avatar 1:04pm Joe B:

i guess if you stopped listening to him 45 years ago

Wow, Alice Cooper covering Outrageous Cherry! I don't know what I'd do if I was Matt Smith. Having Alice Cooper cover you would be like....I don't have words!

Gotta agree with Joe B about the weather making S.A.D. even worse during COVID... Yesterday, when the temps went over 60 degeree F, it really did change the whole mood of the day. It was cool to be able to just mosey around and stay outside in the middle of December and the dismal COVID sitch.

Joe, when you interview yourself, make sure you you don't softball yourself. You should pull out a few hard-hitting, left-field questions!

Didn't mean to make it sound so much like baseball.

But you gotta keep the interviewee on his back foot sometimes, you know?
  1:40pm Mike in S. Jersey:

Thanks, Dennis! That's what I figgered.

Love the new Lydia Loveless songs.

I heard an interview with her that left me scratching my head. I think it was after her second album. The interviewer asked her about her influences, and named a few he (or she) thought were obvious ones, and Lydia didn't seem to know who most of them were. Weird, because I agreed with the interviewer's surprise that Lydia didn't know them. And she didn't seem especially curious about them either; she just came off as a dumb, self-centered kid at that moment. But maybe it was just a bad moment.

But I do love her records.

Afternoon Joe and all! I'm late and missed last week's show but was thinking about Lenny and the Squigtones after it showed up in my Tube recommendations last night.
