I went to a Sunn O))) show a few years ago and the vibrations set off the venue's fire alarm
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm
Barney Grubbs:

I like Sunn with vocals because it gives you something to listen to while you wait for the guitars to go GGRRnGHHHHH again
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm
Handy Haversack:

Ken, *actually* [snrrrrrrrt], ghouls and ghasts have very distinct flavor profiles, which is clearly predictable from their differential in both hit dice and special abilities.

Kyle Abbott and his brother have a great video with a somewhat better take on O Death -- which I think of as solidly in the folk tradition. Is it a "cover" if it's a folk tune?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm
coelacanth∅))):

Dan that Robert Johnson song reminds me of one of his best vocal performances, in my opinion, and only as far as technique is concerned (as opposed to passion) "walking blues" -a rare example of Robert having fun with his delivery.
(pretty sure you've never played it but please forgive me if i'm in error)

They also say RobertJohnson wrapped up PreWar Blues & put the bow on it. He's the whole package of Writing & Vocal & Playing - playing Rhythm & Lead & Slide ...so his Voice is extraordinary - if not very deep in the diagram ...& not sure it's worth extracting it from the totality...
