Bold Venture has a way of sort of giving you "tonal whiplash." It's funny, it's dramatic, people suddenly die, then there's a ton of jokes... It's sort of an odd show, in a lot of ways.

While I do appreciate that Ken Burns has blown up, as a documentarian, in the years since, I do miss the days of PBS when his docs were on a lot more, as he did a lot of random ones that have sort of disappeared, or have become harder to see, because he has become so well known.

Even more pointedly: they are adapting this story, about all the lights going out, on a medium without any visual reference. It's like the Dimension X crew want to highlight that Science Fiction works very well on radio, and it was a bad idea to cancel the show.
