Someone who got paid for the idea and now we're paying for it, too.

This year, Vincent himself is a character in all of the stories.

Though in some cases, merely as a witness.

  🎸 10:06pm
Heather Z:

I hope I haven't told this story before but Halloween cat related, when I was in.... 3rd grade? 4th grade? They had a very scary teacher, Mr. Someone, name lost to the seas of time, come in and read Poe's The Black Cat. I looove cats and always have so I was excited! And, after that story? I was traumatized! I really have no business loving Halloween as much as I do, and yet, here I am.

Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:10pm

↳ Austin Rich @10:09
I would argue that, more than other stories about cats, that one is all about how humans do not deserve cats, and cats will murder you if you mess with them.
  🎸 10:12pm
Heather Z:

↳ Austin Rich @10:09
I never read it after Mr. Pethic? May have been Mr. Pethic? Read it for my class.

Oh yes! And they will. I was the best for Nigel and he still would have murdered me if he could. And he did try! I would have let him but then who would be there to feed him? He was murderous but didn't do well with long term planning.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:15pm
Austin Rich:

A lot of stories where an animal is murdered is usually a story about how horrible humanity is, and how animals are usually superior. It's not sad; it's a DIRE WARNING to the terrible people in the world.
  10:16pm
Charles:

↳ Heather Z @10:06
I don't know how to phrase it well in english but I feel Halloween gives everyone a free pass in facing their fears. May it be in a silly or serious way.

It's not a shame to think about what's making us feel scared or uneasy during that time.

I think it's a healthy thing to do.
  🎸 10:20pm
Heather Z:

↳ Charles @10:16
You phrase it well, I think! And I think you're right. It's also fun to think on spooky and mysterious stuff!

I'm just such a softie when it comes to animals. That's also a good way to be in the end, though, see Austin's comment above, after a fashion.

I used enhancement tools on this recording, which was very difficult to listen to otherwise. The voices were not very understandable otherwise.
