Join me as I dig through some old cassettes of my college radio days back in the mid-1980s, and listen as I recreate the playlist of a show from 40 years ago! Will you recognize all the songs?

My taste buds have been quite an adventure -- for about 6 months I couldn't taste much, then everything tasted salty for a month or so, then everything tasted sweet for another month, and now everything is mostly dulled, except for the occasional spice that overwhelms everything. I've had to avoid anything with cardamom in it because whatever it's in tastes like I'm just eating spoonfuls of cardamom

The dude who invented Pringles had his ashes placed in a Pringles can. The family stopped in the grocery store on the way to the funeral home to buy a can to empty out. Supposedly there was a bit of a debate on which flavor to get, but common sense prevailed and they went with the classic.

I remember going to look at an old Volvo an on-base resident had for sale and being able to get right on. A couple years ago I lived off rt 32 and mistakenly took the NSA exit off the BW parkway just before the 32 exit and had my car searched, my ID photographed, and my name put on a list. (and soon after wrote off wnew-fm completely)

i also rode a large tricycle until i was 7, when a younger kid made fun of me and i charged home and demanded someone teach me to ride a bicycle!
there was only a tiny one and and my tall older sister's one that she rarely used. my feet were far from the ground so when i had to stop i had to dump the bike and jump.
good times.

My youngest is self-taught. He had a full-fidelity simulator in his room. I took him to a school parking lot in my old manual Tacoma pick-up and he was driving around the lot in 15 minutes. His oldest brother taught him how to drive fast. They both instruct road racing, and the youngest just started as a semi-professional instructor at Xtreme Xperience. Never thought I'd hear the words "the Ferrari was my least favorite to drive" come out of one my kid's mouth...

i meant the Ferarri that he disliked. i learned to drive stick in a 4-cyl Toyota. my dad had me stop on a hill, pulling a trailer of wood: parking break, turn truck off, turn truck on, get going again while releasing emergency break. i thought he was a sadist at the time, but look back fondly now. hehe, fancy sports cars didn't come until much later. my oldest bro learned to drive/race on tracks. then, through his BMW club, taught rich teens defensive driving in parking lots. he still takes his M cars to race on tracks. whereas, i spend my money on travel, FMU and an old house. :)
