Hi Dan, I know it's an early time for you to have to get up and do your show, but it sure makes for a fine Sunday evening programme here in Sydney. Thank heavens you're back in your Sunday slot! Best wishes, Mark, Sydney

Sun. 10/14/07 7:41am From: Graeme, Brisbane, Australia

The ketjak dance brought back memories of one of my favourite parts of the movie Baraka. Thanks for all this great music from Indonesia. (And cheers for playing the Necks as well!)

It is quite perfect that you are playing all this music today as it is Hari Raya, (the end of the fast) here in Southeast Asia, which marks the end of Ramadan and a day of a feast and celebration. Hari Raya is a time to reconcile and renew relationships with others. I am a New Yorker living in Singapore and it seemed nice and syncronous to tune in online to hear this. Thanks.

Hi - great to hear that Colin Mcphee piano transcription of gamelan. Have you ever read his book - A House In Bali? Beautiful book - like reading a dream. :-))
One of my favourite books and favourite places in the world.

Fri. 10/19/07 12:30am From: chauncey

Awesome collection of tunes. I can never get enough gamelan, especially when it involves a Ramayana monkey chant. Enjoying it in SF, CA
