Playlists and Archives for Airborn Event with Dan Bodah

Sundays 6am - 9am on WFMU 91.1 fm 90.1 fm wfmu.org

Musical delirium induced by sounds from electronic noise to free jazz, drone rock to a capella African song.

What a fantastic show. Seriosuly, this is the best ever radio show I have ever heard.

Upcoming events:

Sunday, May 25th, 6am - 9am: Jazzfinger
Newcastle, England's purveyors of otherworldy drones and ecstatic underground sounds Jazzfinger stop by WFMU during a New York visit. They'll be playing a free matinee show with Metalux at performance space Paris London West Nile (285 Kent Ave #2 in Williamsburg) on May 17 at 3:30 PM, and catch them on Airborne Event the following weekend.

Sunday, June 8th, 6am - 9am: Japanische Kampfhorspiele
The German grindpop masters tear apart the WFMU studios with their slick hooks and suave vocals. Think Spuds McKenzie marrying Britney in a blender with boquets of scotch bonnet peppers and an AK47, and you're halfway to the sound drama of JaKa. (The name translates as Japanese Combat Radio Plays.) The band ignites the camphor and lights up the airwaves on Airborne Event on June 8 at 8 AM.
