Love your show and Sunday mornings ... the Kiila is especially nice. This is probably a long shot ... but do you by any chance know of something I lost track of from 1969 .. phonetically like "wo ma neeko, wo man ney ... I'm so glad I'm not dead" ??? @Graham - the station has a pretty amazing library and music director. We're also lucky that a lot of the labels that put out this music send their stuff to us since we're one of the few places that will play it. Some other sources of info would be the Wire magazine out of the UK, Signal to Noise magazine from Vermont, lots of blogs and label websites...check out the Foxy Digitalis Blog, that's a good one.

Hi Anne, I am ashamed to say I haven't made it to those spots yet, though I did have the Jamaica Bay trip plotted in the spring and was put off by a sudden cold snap. Hoping to get to it this summer, plus I now have a correspondent who wants to do some recorder field work for me at places of my choosing, so I'm hoping to send her down there!

Dan - thanks for that. I love the way there's always something here that's great, but I never new existed. Just like the late great John Peel used to be on the BBC.

I'm afraid I'm dipping in and out of the show because like pretty much everyone in England I'm listening to the cricket on Test Match Special - we're in danger of beating the Australians.
