Favoriting May 15, 2021: 096 The Piano Archives 15 - Piano Rolls
Prerecorded show. The years noted in the playlist represent the years the rolls were produced by the mentioned artist, not the recording date, which often was much later. That's why the Zez Confrey tracks are in stereo.

Hi Jan. The playlist looks raggy and lively.

Jan Turkenburg:

The track-info on your player is probably incorrect, because the playlist has been uploaded in advance.

Are you working today?
  Swag For Life Member 8:07am
WR:

I understand. The Joplin tracks are piano rolls, aren't they? Only a little work later today. But this weekend I have to finish and file my income tax which is due on Monday.

WR:

Duh, just read the episode description, so a whole episode of piano rolls.

Jan Turkenburg:

All the tracks were labeled as 'piano rolls' by Cornelius. Judging from the year in comparison with the sound quality we have to assume all rolls were played/produced by the mentioned pianists and recorded from a player-piano later.

Jan Turkenburg:

That's all, folks! See you on monday!

WR:

Thank you Jan!
