not to fright you but I went out in a crowd for the first time a week ago saturday- took a choir recital at the music school i’m part of to get me to do it- caught a case of Covid- that said i’m 2x boosted and it hasn’t even neared the effects of a bad cold - one night of sore throat, no fever… so if you’re protected in my case not a bad outcome- risk/reward

it's such a great album it doesn't get much attention I don't think
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 5:14pm
chris in the redwoods:

re: the 'vid, its a real fucker. very few folks outside the medical setting correctly wear masks, i know i don't. long covid is a risk for all of us. my otherwise healthy son recently caught it (he's vaxxed, but maybe not boosted) and ended up in ER with severe back pain - he didn't know what the hell was happening. dr. google those symptoms and its a dark place. hopefully, though, he'll come through just fine. still scary as all get out for everyone. just saying there's all sort of anecdotes about returning to normal. we're all going to need to get to our own risk/reward happy place, for sure.
Avatar 🦇 5:16pm
Julie:

oh chris sorry to hear about your son. This really may end up being a mass disabling event.
Avatar 🦇 5:17pm
Julie:

I finally got a real n95, the kind that has the two loops that go over the head, not the ear loops most have, and it did feel like a much better fit, which of course makes it less comfy
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 5:19pm
chris in the redwoods:

we're trusting in a full recovery, Julie. he's a climber, outdoorsy, builds things for a living kind of guy.
yeah, you know you get the mask thing right, if you can barely stand it. ugh.

Like which Bowie tracks? He even said himself he felt he lost direction & motivation sometime in the 80s
...oof - the cornerstone of Dated80s to me - the cheap electronic keyboard sound...

David in London:

Stevie Winwood made the transition to the 80s pretty well, as did Peter Gabriel, but it was often a tough time for some of the established oldies. Some shockers from that era.

Just about the dead man cum in the MOR context.
Let's get Why d'Ya Do It on the MOR as well
