Indeed, a great book. I assume the Repugnantcons are trying to ban it from schools and libraraies around the country,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:42am

Sadly, I doubt most libraries have it anyway, @Don.

That was dope. Haai means shark in Dutch. Probably unrelated...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36am
Brian D:

Interesting @Onion. I wonder... And @Heidee, that's wonderful! Congrats and good luck.
Avatar 5:39am
Don in Tampere:

Hai is shark in both German and Finnish, interestingly, though sometimes Haifisch in German. Heidee, good luck on the teaching, sounds like a worthy undertaking. I guess this must mean you are based somewhere in the German-speaking part of the world.

Heidee - is it a G'ovt funded program or an NGO?

Michael of Cologne:

Congrats, @Heidee! Had a visit this week from a young, 26-year-old, Russian student to discuss her project at the margins of philosophy of science. 'Margins' underscored. In Moscow, where she first studied at Lomonosov MSU, she was a pro-Navalny activist, ended up being thrown into a lock-up, was beaten, etc. She's presently living in Finland and Estonia, continuing her work, considering her options. Soon off to Rome on an Erasmus exchange scholarship. I was overjoyed to note that the next, next generation is sprouting such lively, free-spirited minds.

Heyyyy there morphe' !! That's organized within my regular teaching assignment, it is a lucky opportunity for both the kids and myself.

Haaaiii Michael, so good to hear! A good command of the second language can really open doors. I also look forward to taking this group of 16 under my wings and help them get accustomed to the different culture and function a bit as a mentor etc. So nice to feel that my job makes sense again.
