For anyone who wants to further explore the recordings of Damião Experiença:

Seems nearly all the original releases of the work of Damião Experiença were self released on vinyl. There is a lot. en.wikipedia.org...

119 tracks have been archived on Archive.org. archive.org...

Someone did a compilation of Damião Experiença that is listed with some detail of track source on discogs.com www.discogs.com...

The Discogs compilation is not the same as the archive.org compilation, but there is significant overlap and the Discogs listing gives some context for the recordings.

(maybe i have mentioned this to you before? been trying to track down a Hungarian piece -- pen and ink, iirc -- a man plants a seeds, tends to it, nurtures it lovingly until it is this tall beautiful tree -- from which he hangs himself -- "typical Hungarian 'humor,'" as my Mom laughed)

  9:19pm
Dean:

What I despise most about NPR, beside the patronizing programming, is the ubiquity of "talking down." Everybody moans about "talking up," ending every sentence with an upward lilt, as if it were a question. NPR over-corrects. Everybody ends sentences with a lower tone and, worse, an uncomfortably gritty voice. It's obvious that they are trained to do so. Who comes up with this shit?

my Mom was great, but she could be awfully "snooty" (hah! "typical" pbs viewer!) -- a lot of stuff i found on my own she just could not accept -- like Alice Cooper! she forbid me to buy any of their records -- not bc of any alleged "violence" or "morbid themes" or anything like that -- but, when there was an appearance on "In Concert" (or similar?) she was absolutely furious and horrified over their take on a piece from "West Side Story" 😹😹

the thing i noticed about bbc news in contrast to american cable news was that the bbc anchor always turns their gaze downward, in recognition of the viewer as a separate entity, when going to break where the anchor on cnn just stare at you until commercial breaks in....i called the cannibalization of the gaze
  9:31pm

You're such a jerk, mackeral. WWDTM is decent if you filter out all the showy crap. I'll testify on E's behalf.

But nothing beats My Word, which very well could be a BBC program. Spectacular wordplay.
