  7:25pm
pierre:

@ G : it's 01.24am, it's ok, i'm just working a bit, and then to bed.
I love listening to WFMU late at night, it's always shows that I (not often) hear live. :)
Avatar 7:26pm
monica:

hello to you, PMD!...Catsilk, wrap it up, girl and thanks...david - indeed.....
  7:27pm
david:

I'm getting maximal gif-ronicity with this Mike Simonetti
  7:27pm
G:

@pierre: Sounds good, I too have probably listened to something during every one of the 24 hours, my time (same as FMU time), at some point or other...
  7:28pm
Roy Boy:

If you are but a vessel, if am but a passenger.
  7:29pm
G:

I always thought "I am but a vessel" meant vessel/container, not vessel/ship. But who knows!
  7:29pm
Roy Boy:

That's I am, stupid alcohol!
  7:30pm
Johnny Gato:

It's an unsophisticated reference, but this brings to mind "Wicked Game" by Chris Issac
  7:31pm
pierre:

WFMU around the clock's the best !
But at some point I have to sleep.
  7:32pm
G:

Yep!
  7:33pm
david:

for that reason I wish I was one of those people who could fall asleep to music... I can only imagine the dreams I would have with FMU in my subvonscious...
  7:36pm
Jay S:

Not "American in Paris" - "Singing in the Rain."
  7:36pm
Johnny Gato:

OMG I didn't know that's how you pronounce "Apache dance," I hope I've never said it outloud anywhere, what a rube I would have seemed like. Because I am.
  7:36pm
david:

gotta get my emerald green meggings...
  7:38pm
G:

@Jay: Kelly 1951 vs. Kelly 1952, easy to blend those two...
  7:38pm
sugarwolf:

I hated 2012's color, I much prefer emerald.
  7:38pm
Johnny Gato:

Re: Emerald green: well, the new Oz movie w/ James Franco is coming...
  7:39pm
pierre:

@ david : I had some once or twice, it was something.
  7:40pm
Roy Boy:

Just learned Cyd Charisse's birth name was Tula Ellice Finklea.
  7:40pm
david:

Hamp! We lost him a decade ago, already...
  7:41pm
Tom T:

For us pale Irish folk, irony is that the "wearing of the green" makes you look even more like you are ready to be nauseous than normal.
  7:41pm
Derek in DC:

I've been away from design too long. I don't know my Pantone numbers any more (except PMS 5545 which I used to use all the time).
  7:41pm
Parq:

I am displaced from the kitchen. The daughter is making gingerbread. (Dig that, Norman Rockwell.) Instead I am assembling the new coatrack-umbrella-stand. Think every Alan-Sherman-type riff on Easy Assembly Instructions you've ever heard.
  7:43pm
david:

emerald reminds me of "kiss me I'm Irish."
  7:44pm
Jay S:

@G - I hear you. Mind-boggling sequence whatever movie it's in.
  7:45pm
Roy Boy:

My son used to run around on his tip toes to Sabre Dance which he called "excavator music."
  7:49pm
Listener Schned:

Looks like Cyd got the Pantone memo-
  7:50pm
Andrew Waterloo:

I did lots of baking today
  7:52pm
pierre:

@ G : by the, i'm pretty amazed by your use of the word "vachement" ! I think you're the first english person I know, that i heard using it.
  7:52pm

  7:59pm
G:

I picked up most of my French slang from watching US movies on French tv with French subtitles.

For example, I believe I picked up "arrêt de faire la connerie!" (stop f'ing around) off the subtitles of The Breakfast Club :-)
  8:00pm
CB1:

G - Well, Mo is a cup of music that takes you somewhere - so she's both.
  8:01pm
listener gary:

good evening to dj monica. listening quietly.
  8:02pm
pierre:

great one G ! pretty useful amongst us french.

(I think your pronunciation should be perfect, but i might think it could be either "arrête tes conneries" or "arrête de déconner", no ?)
  8:08pm
tr-ish:

An exhale set to music.
Followed by more music inward.
Ah.
Avatar 8:10pm
monica:

Jay S. - thanks for the correction. oy, can't believe i got that one wrong,...
  8:16pm
G:

@pierre: That was probably the hardass detention teacher talking to the students, so the French subtitler used a formal locution (not "tes"). I wrote it down right off the screen before I could forget it :-) Your options are more informal, yes?
  8:20pm
pierre:

@ G : It makes sense !! haha… yes mine were really straight from what I would say. But yes, you are right, it's more than totally probable.

Great set! Dug Judy, digging Hyman, couldn't help during Curry but think about how everybody mistook Jemaine Clement for Tim in MIB3.
  8:31pm
Andrew Waterloo:

I love the perplexed look people give me when I tell them Dick Hyman is one of the greatest piano players ever
  8:32pm
sugarwolf:

On a message board I frequent, there is one poster who has been an inveterate name dropper for a decade. I always think of Drop That Name when I read her posts.
