Hi Dave - not only do I have this record, Peter Zummo was my high school's music teacher.... and my Junior year advisor.

Henry: Really? What that in Staten Island, or where he comes from, which is...Cleveland?
Avatar 9:08pm
Dave Mandl:

*Was that in...
Avatar 9:10pm
Dave Mandl:

@Holly: Here's that French thing.
Avatar 9:11pm
Dave Mandl:

Belgian, actually.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13pm
Webhamster Henry:

This was before he and Stephanie moved to Staten Island - he was in a group of new hires in 1970, at Loomis Chaffee, Windsor CT.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:14pm
Webhamster Henry:

I think I got Zummo with an X at the Tower Records modern music section, R.I.P.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm
Webhamster Henry:

They also use 'em in The Magic Flute, but it was supposed be a Hölzernes G'Lachter, kind of folk Xylophone, but they were too hard to find, I guess.

...I did learn from the Drummer Special: even as a Wh♂fan- appreciating what Irwin said about Bonham's bass pedal
...Alice so much like McCoy here...
Avatar 9:43pm
Dave Mandl:

@RRN63: Yeah, true about Alice. The crucial Bonham song if you're a drum geek is "Good Times, Bad Times."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- exactly! - their 1st single...

“Some observers consider the success of Star Wars and the box-office failure of Sorcerer to be a starting point in the decline of the New Hollywood cinema movement and the beginning of a blockbuster-oriented era.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Gosh...interception at the goal line. Looks like it's New England's Super Bowl.
Avatar 10:01pm
Dave Mandl:

@Jake: Yeah, the story of Sorcerer is interesting. A very expensive flop after the Exorcist and French Connection.
  10:04pm

Last week while I was making tangerine marmalade Scott Williams played my friend Ernest Gibson's record as part of a set honoring Edgar Froese. I always like it when things converge like that.
Avatar 10:05pm
HollyT:

This is some cool pianner-ing
  10:07pm

I'm still trying to decide what to name that marmalade if anybody has any ideas...
Avatar 10:08pm
HollyT:

Abou 100 years ago I listened to Tangerine Dream while sitting by a duck pond at dawn tripping on acid and ecstasy. That was an interesting experience.
Avatar 10:08pm
Dave Mandl:

@Holly: You think it was 100 years ago, but it was actually five minutes ago.
  10:09pm
bill:

last track, the piano thing, was out of phase I think.
Avatar 10:09pm

Actually, it was 1989.
Avatar 10:10pm

@bill: That's very perceptive. I think it was.
  10:12pm
rw:

Holly, what did ducks look like in 1989? Or was it just a few minutes ago?
Avatar 10:15pm

Well, these particular ducks kept morphing into various geometric shapes, so it's hard to say!
