  12:03am sugarwolf:

Happy birthday morrissey!
  12:03am JakeGould:

I like the Smiths start to the show.
  12:04am P-90:

Good Morning Therese. Sounds like a good show already, grateful to be here.
Avatar 12:05am BadGuyZero:

Good evening/morning!
  12:06am Steve-O:

Hi Therese! Lovely night, isn't it? =)
  12:06am sugarwolf:

Therese, last night I dreamt you were possessed by an evil fairy, and you were fighting me and Iron Man and Captain America.
  12:06am MONEYBAG$:

first thing I did when I woke up today was put on the smiths
  12:06am sugarwolf:

Oh and I was a good fairy
  12:07am Steve-O:

@P-90: Every Therese show is a good show, P-90! =D
  12:07am sugarwolf:

I did not eat any cheese before going to bed last night so I don't know what was going on with my brain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09am Matt from Springfield:

Hi Therese and everyone!
The pleasure, the privilege is mine!
  12:10am JakeGould:

@Matt: Nice one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Matt from Springfield:

A sugar-coated Wolf Fairy?? ;)

I recently had a theory that bad dreams after eating certain things is because of gas pains while you sleep sending crazy signals in your brain. Seems like the most plausible explanation, anyway.
Avatar 12:11am KP:

Hey, Therese
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11am Matt from Springfield:

Hi Jake!
That's a nice eloquent sort of English phrase, the kind I would love to throw around some time. So I did!
  12:14am sugarwolf:

@matt: I read that the Viennese like to eat a lot of late night cheese and maybe that's why Freud had all these crazy dreams available to analyze.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16am Therese:

Sugarwolf- whuuuuuttttt?!
  12:17am Jeff in Puna:

This makes new sense
  12:17am JakeGould:

  12:24am Nick Olson:

I thought it was Jefferson Airplane!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am Therese:

Sandy Dolenz?
Avatar 12:24am BadGuyZero:

@sugarwolf: That's as gouda an explanation as any.

This one is going over pretty well here at home...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am pacific standard simon:

  12:27am Nick Olson:

Great lyrics
  12:28am Steve-O:

@BGZ: That was *grate*, man.....ya get it? xD
  12:29am Nick Olson:

Hmm, that LP title made me investigate. Mickey Newbury wrote An American Trilogy, which was a popular Elvis recording. Never knew.
  12:29am Steve-O:

But all in all, orange we all glad to have such a wonderful show on the air @ WFMU? ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32am Matt from Springfield:

Therese wishes you all a good *night*,
but NOT YET a good *sleep*! Bingo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32am pacific standard simon:

"Good hello," as Crosley Bendix used to say.
  12:32am Carmichael:

Hi Therese and all. Odd day and time for me to be here. Nonetheless, this is great musical fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am Matt from Springfield:

@Nick: Or prob "arranged" An American Trilogy, since all the components were existing songs "Dixie", "All My Trials" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic".
  12:34am JakeGould:

No. “Meat is Murder” is not the best. I love “The Queen is Dead” as well. Kudos to good taste!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34am pacific standard simon:

I'm sure there's a mozzarella pun to be made about Morrissey, but I'm not the one to make it.
  12:35am Nick Olson:

Good point, Matt.
I like Hatful of Hollow, but I guess that is a comp?
  12:35am Carmichael:

@Simon, or perhaps mortadella.
  12:36am JakeGould:

Are you my mother? en.wikipedia.org...
Avatar 12:36am BadGuyZero:

  12:36am JakeGould:

“Hatful of Hollow” and “World Won’t Listen” are compliations.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am Matt from Springfield:

Badfinger. I can and will go for that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37am Matt from Springfield:

"Mortadella is Murder", 1985.
  12:37am Carmichael:

Pete Ham ....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38am pacific standard simon:

There's some irony in this song, considering what became of Ham & Evans.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38am Matt from Springfield:

Good timing, Carm!
Ugh, I'm gonna want a cheese and charcuterie plate if this keeps up...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38am pacific standard simon:

  12:39am Nick Olson:

Pete Ham ... He wrote "Without You," right? That Nilsson recorded?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am pacific standard simon:

  12:40am KP:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am Matt from Springfield:

YES! Ham & Evans. Badfinger did that first, and Nilsson heard that playing at a party when he decided to record it.
  12:41am Carmichael:

Correctamundo, Nick.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42am Matt from Springfield:

FWIW, the Nilsson demo version is the better recording. Very visceral and emotional. The Badfinger version is pretty good rock song, without the melodrama the lyrics would imply.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42am Matt from Springfield:

"It's Alright Ma, It's Only Witchcraft"?! :)
  12:42am Nick Olson:

This is like Wishbone Ash vs. The Grateful Dead
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43am Matt from Springfield:

@Nick: You're right again! Great observation.
  12:43am Carmichael:

Yikes, which lineup of Fairport is this? Iain Mathews? Ashley Hutchings? Martin Allcock?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44am Matt from Springfield:

More than a tinge of Mathews Southern Comfort to it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45am Matt from Springfield:

WOOOO!!! Great Mem. Day choice Therese!
Bob's '68 proto-punk war song "2 + 2 = ? / 2 plus 2 is on my mind"
  12:45am Carmichael:

HA HA! Early Seger.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45am pacific standard simon:

Hint: This isn't going to sound much like the Bob Seger you know, either...
  12:45am Nick Olson:

Love this old Seger. I can hear the Amboy Dukes in it.
  12:46am Carmichael:

Like a rock ...
  12:46am MONEYBAG$:

Bob Seger must not have a good system if he can't add 2 plus 2
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46am pacific standard simon:

Fair enough -- it's all kinds of Detroit.
  12:46am Carmichael:

Nick, that would be early Nugent.
  12:47am Nick Olson:

Right, Carmichael.
  12:49am Nick Olson:

My wife's into this Barbara and Ernie. Their rediscovery is nice. Good stuff. Partly Cloudy Pop.

  12:52am Nick Olson:

Oh man... I think I bypassed a Babara Massey LP today. Is that possible? Did she have a solo LP back in the day? I wonder if it's still there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52am Stephen Stills:

Hey Susan on the West Coast Waiting? I wrote a song for you -- it's called "Love The One You're With".
