good evening Dan and listeners and GREETINGS BART!!!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm dale:

better hear some elton britt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm Ike:

I listened to the most recent episode of Bart's show on Mixcloud!
I like your voice, Bart, so what's up with the robot lady voice you always employ? I bet she demands a lot of WD-40 and you probably also have to pay off some robot pimps or Robot Satan. Why bother?
Avatar 7:20pm Dan Bodah:

Hi all! Elton Britt we might not get to, but maybe Kenny Roberts covering him. :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm dale:

that's otay - i like the modern and sideways take on yodeling.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm Ike:

Most of us dislike our own voices but it's usually an auditory illusion caused by hearing ourselves from the wrong angle (e.g. through our own skulls), isn't it? Your voice has a lot more character than robot lady's voice. Just my €0.02.
Avatar 7:32pm slugluv1313:

great to hear you here on WFMU again, Bart -- wonderful surprise!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm melinda:

I like my voice better when I hear it through my own skull, it's the recorded version I don't like.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm Webhamster Henry:

There is exactly 1 Wreck This Mess mp3
in the WFMU archives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm melinda:

So this is the source of the De La Soul sample. I'm not well-versed in Parliament.
Avatar 7:35pm Cheri Pi:

My favorite Parliament LP!!!!!
Avatar 7:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Hullo muh green & yellow buddies.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm Webhamster Henry:

The famed rutabaga call!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm Kat in Chicago:

Quality dolphin sounds!
Avatar 7:45pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...where's fleep to translate?...
Avatar 7:53pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Once played 'Starsailor' in a CD store I worked in. Guess how that went down.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm dale:

see? this is a modern take on yodeling!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm melinda:

I've found vocal oddness doesn't go down well in retail environments. I played some Tuvan throat singing at work, same thing. I should have known better but couldn't resist.
  7:58pm bodahcar:

i'm gonna have the Mouse's ear blues all night
Avatar 7:58pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

It's not like it was a square store either...so I thot.
Avatar 8:03pm slugluv1313:

"Starsailor" is freakin' awesome! but yeah, many people just could not handle this new direction that Tim Buckley was exploring . . .
