I play music that is old and that is new. Some of it is digital while some is analog. It is from many different countries; sometimes it is loud and at other times it is quiet.

People in Hiroshima might say the color of death is white because of the a-bomb explosion being so, so bright white light.

@Mayuko: Have you heard of Hiroshi Sugimoto? I booked a ticket for a show of his that will take place in September. It seems to mix dance, music, and theater. I won't understand a single word, but I don't care

@coel: note that these kami aren't quite "gods" in the Western sense, they are closer to the Western idea of "spirits" that represent particular energies in nature and life, and sometimes are associated with the moody or magical qualities of particular places.

One of the first thing I'd need after a nuclear holocaust, would be books to keep one sane.

The English was probably to attract the occupation troops.

@rbrt: you see, it's all just a crazy coincidence, the bookseller's name is Atom.
Avatar 1:20pm

@rbrt I think Bookseller Atom is named after Atomic Bomb, whoever opened up this store must have been a pretty bold person.

in the us it'd be called "groundzero book store"
Avatar 1:23pm

Yeah, that's why I missed last week show. Getting tickets for contemporary dance is tough here. This will be a bountiful year: I already have tickets for 40 dance shows (not counting that unfortunate duplicate), 10 music shows (including Ulzhan Baybussinova!), and a play about Nina Simone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm

I'll be seeing Rosas 10 times in 4 month, and the same show two days in a row. Then again, I already did that for the same show (Rain) years ago. This time my favorite dancer won't be there, but Ictus will be playing Reich's Music for 18 musicians live
