@ParUbi, yah, like Sem said Ainu is the native people of Hokkaido which is that big northern island. Some say Ainu had already lived in the northern part of the main island too though, before main islanders moved in.

Mayuko I have a slightly different perspective than you! But, it's actually ok. Right now it's about a 10 minute drive to work from where I live. I just found out we're going to be relocating in the next few months and my commute will change to 40 minute drive. :(
