Hi Kris. Nice cut to start to the show.

Kris Holmes:

Hi Matt. Thanks! Did you partake in any of the early Mardi Gras parades yet?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm
Matt from New Orleans:

They’re not exactly parades on Twelfth Night. It’s a bunch of people who rent a streetcar and go for a ride. Originally it was only one. But then a new krewe formed when they built a new streetcar line downtown and now a second one rolls on the St Charles line after the original krewe.

Matt from New Orleans:

I don’t like clumpy or dumpy rice.
Avatar 10:10pm
Kris Holmes:

Ahhh. I saw Al Johnson was out there from photos.
Avatar 10:12pm
Kris Holmes:

Confusingly, Mr "Piano" Rice has another 45 which is a great guitar instrumental
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15pm
Matt from New Orleans:

The parades don’t really kick in till next month. Slowly at first and then it’s a deluge.

Matt from New Orleans:

I liked the tune. Just felt like making my lame joke.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25pm
Matt from New Orleans:

Was wondering if you were going to show up? I had started to zone out over here getting the blues.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:31pm
Little Danny:

Roadrunners are super cute
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm
Matt from New Orleans:

BEEP BEEP! Maybe it was an ACME Brand fan in the background.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm
Little Danny:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm
Little Danny:

Hi Records had great jukebox distro in the '60s and '70s it seems. I've seen a number of those Hi EPs with the juke strips. I'm sure no organized crime was involved.
Avatar 10:52pm
Kris Holmes:

Ha, writing them off, but yeah, lost of Bill Black & Willie Mitchell 33RPM EPs got released for real
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56pm
Matt from New Orleans:

Did he record this in London?
Avatar 10:57pm
Kris Holmes:

it doesn't say
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59pm
Little Danny:

Sounds like the Memphis-based Stax/Volt house regulars for what it's worth. Except that flute.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59pm
Matt from New Orleans:

Just an odd song title
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:01pm
Little Danny:

London was a pretty and easy reference to drop in the mid- and late '60s
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05pm
Matt from New Orleans:

True enough
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13pm
Matt from New Orleans:
