There was a British anti-drink/driving TV campaign that used this. They slow down the "have a drink, have a drive" over footage of road carnage!

Hi! I missed the one and half sets (took a bus home from my partner's place then - I have no internet on my phone etc), but at least I caught the first two. There was just a bit of drama involved when listening to the beginning of this show. My partner's washing machine went snap crackle and pop while I was using it. They didn't seem to care whereas I was having a nervous breakdown. I should have offered you people a live coverage of this event but perhaps it is better this way ;) I hate it when mechanical and electronic stuff breaks for no reason... At least there is my favourite music to save my night.

Try being a DJ, John ;-) There are days when the playlist drives me *nuts* because the songs sound slightly off in speed or tempo. lol

GG 5.24 No idea, I guess some thin frame or other part from the top (top-load machine) fell of, got mangled by the drum and has been turned to pieces of plastic somewhere inside the thing... I am afraid they will go on using it, I would dare not to... a hellish noise it did make. I am no housewife material, me... (what did this fast show guy say, "knowing my luck summat will go horribly wrong... ooohhh bugger....")

john's voice causes me to realize how very much happened to him in the course of ... what, 8 years? it's a wonder he had a brain left!

Ouch, that comment about pain

here we go!! Traffic!!!!!

but then, we have no time, all in all. our time is very short!

edelkakao cha cha:

btw, I usually can not tell maccas solo stuff (early) and badfinger from each other.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

There is a pretty fine line between late Beatles and Badfinger ;-)
Avatar 5:31pm
Linda Lee:

true! straightaway there's no telling!

He's so sensitive, direct and honest, John is.
takes guts to be singular.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32pm

This is why we have music - so we can rise above pain and all that :-)

at this moment! :-)

I'd forgotten how long this track is - I could have made a beverage!
Avatar 5:35pm
edelkakao cha cha:

similar example re:badfinger and macca/Beatles: early stuff from Wigwam (Finland's finest) when Jukka Gustavson is singing - you can be forgiven if you would mistake it for Stevie Winwood, even if Jukka's voice, keyboard playing and compositions (not to mention lyrics) were very original.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36pm

Wigwam! I know them! :-)
Avatar 5:36pm

'druggage'! nmarvelous!

I was having one of my "I have no idea what I'm talking about" moments ;-)
Avatar 5:39pm

Good, GG! I recommend any of the Wigwam albums from Hard'n'Horny to Dark Album to anyone. Jim Pembroke is a very underrated genius as a songwriter, think Beales meets The Band with some Monty Python thrown in.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

I shall check those out :-)

Usually when I'm talking I'll suddenly think of a supplementary bit of information and then realise, halfway through that I can't remember a specific fact
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm

Is that the same Wigwam who should have won Eurovision as well?

@ParUbi - the famous John Lennon/Jann Wenner interview for Rolling Stone in 1970 where John said "The dream is over" when talking about The Beatles.
