Hey Julie. Hey everybody.

Is this where they’re going to have “Three hours of crying and Nick Drake”? Am I in the right place?

P-90:

I’m guessing future shows will include “Three hours of crying and Nick Cave”, and maybe even “Three hours of crying and Nick Lowe”? Also guessing there won’t be “Three hours of crying and Nikki Sixx”, because that would be stretching it a bit too far.

I use a VPN and usually route all my web traffic through Canada (so that I seem nicer online!). Goggle often seems to think that we Canadians are native German speakers. So that's fun.

Prince version was delish
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm
Handy Haversack:

Huh -- never had any trouble, @Phillippe. Some stores reject the connection from the VPN [who needs you, Best Buy!] -- and when I try to get product specs on Amazon (I would never order from it), I am shown only those products available in Canada. But never an issue with FMU.

I use Private Internet Access.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm

Depeche!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm
Handy Haversack:

@P-90: VH1's Behind the Music on Heart is actually really good -- touches the heart, if you know what I mean.

It is on the major socially irresponsible video platform, as is a SMOKING rendition of "Magic Man" live on a German TV show. Worth finding a way to watch!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm
Handy Haversack:

@Phillippe: worth asking SMKen to whitelist you?
Avatar 12:47pm
Julie:

oh man I could go into a k-hole of heart videos so easy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm
Phillippe Bastille:

@ βrian appears to be. I could comment as a guest but not on my log-in. It's been a while, and I only use the VPN when I work remotely, so it's not a huge issue. Was mostly curious about how Handy got around it. Might be a country thing. Nord routes traffic through many different countries, different each time.
Avatar 12:50pm
Julie:

will using one of those let me watch UK tv that is blocked here?
Avatar 12:52pm
βrian:

I suspect it's based on the IP range used by a given VPN provider. You might send a query to the FMU web person to see if your address is on a block list.

I'm usually on a work VPN and haven't had a problem.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm
Phillippe Bastille:

Not sure Julie. Just logged into Nord and it kicked me off of the stream -- had to restart. Still on it, so let's see if this post shows up
Avatar 12:54pm
βrian:

@Julie: not if the broadcasters have explicitly blocked that provider's range. I just depends.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm
Handy Haversack:

@Julie: Could do, yeah. PIA lets you pick from a range of servers to use, in various countries. So, for example, an expat friend can access his U.S. bank accounts and things like his Steam account from his computer in Europe without jumping through even MORE hoops. Or, you know, watch the clip of me on Jimmy Kimmel on ABC's site -- BANNED in Europe!

GST, interesting that you should write that about raisins. I put raisins in many many dishes. Decades past I can still remember how shocked I was that my then 5 year old daughter was vehement that she would not eat oatmeal with raisins. Totally not a fussy eater. Kimchi to wakame seaweed, vegetables all across the spectrum. Raisins in oatmeal a line she would not cross.

“Bebe” was the first “Heart 2.0” album with the boys out and the Wilsons firmly in control.
It’s a bit off to say Nancy “took over lead”, they never really divided the parts that way; Nancy continued to play parts she had written as she always had. If anyone, Leese was closest to “lead guitarist” at that point, covering all the trickiest stuff the brothers had done. (If anyone cares about Heart micro-trivia)
