Someone should re-string two concert harps with nichrome wire instead of regular strings, arrange the two harps in a parallel position, connect them to the electrical mains, and hang a piece of bread between them. @StringO', there's an interesting variation of Russian roulette, in which one string of a harp is electrified, and two harpists successively play chords until one of them got juiced. Handy if you don't have a revolver—and have two harpists.

Have a soft spot for Billy Harper. Went to see him (are a now looking gone club on Flatbush Avenue), with me daughter, who must have been 9-10 years old. After his 1st set, my daughter and I went up to him to tell him we loved his set, and he graciously spoke to us for a bit (my daughter used to do this when we hit jazz clubs, most, but not all, the musicians were foods about it). Anyway, we stayed for the second set, and Harper introduces his set by dedicating it to "Papa and Little Miss", looking at us at our table. My daughter was in heaven...never forgot it (he even sent us a card months later). Such a doll!
