Hey! I'll be listening to this while looning about outdoors. Cycling & swimming.
By the way, a few hours ago I saw a dream where you were supposed to fill in for a two-hour program before your own today - like all the things experienced in dreams it was so genius I don't remember the name after waking up. Well I'll drink what remains of my coffee to that show whatever it was called.

The Mono of Piper's sibling in time & space - Sgt. Pepper - is a notably heavier & swirlier Mix. I am very curious to hear all of Piper in Mono like that... tho Floyd were being most effective with fewer tangible resources than the exalted Liverpudlians...

@coela: George Martin's son Giles helms these. Trying to bridge the gap between the Mono Pepper's punch with the Stereo mix was much talked about - & avoiding getting crazy & messing Senior Martin's legacy...but sheee-it there's 5.1 & madness in that box !

Dean: Julie's doing two extra hours so asked for requests that fit her show. She has a slight preference for 60s-70s stuff since it's Larry's spot she's filling. But anything that you think fits. Band name, not specific song.

Or as Julie just said!

Im gonna tell u the story anyway. It was a Talking Heads & Tom Tom Club double feature concert. Before the show, the male performers, including Byrne and Frantz were in one dressing room. David Bowie sticks his head thru the door and says hi guys, then just walks over to the food on the table. He says 'Is anyone gonna have these cheeses" Frantz says 'No, help yourself!' Bowie then proceeds to wrap up all the pieces of cheese into a couple of napkins and puts them into his pocket. Then he just walks back to the door, turns to the guys and says 'Cant wait to see Tom Tom Club', then leaves. Byrne was crushed.

Julie, my dream actually became true since you are going overtime, although in the dream you did fill in for the oddly-named two-hour show before your turn.

they've been usually good live but as for the records, post-Pandemonium Killing Joke does not really do much for me. The s/t 2003 album and Absolute Dissent have their moments - should I give Pylon a try?

i actually expected that to be an older album, must have gotten it at the station when it came out
