We shared a small cottage on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester and some of the artists stayed with us or at least dropped by before the performance. Marty Ehrlich(my childhood friend) played while still at NEC. Jeanne Lee and Gunter Hampel spent the night I didn’t know that there recordings of these performances that included Byard Lancaster, Max Roach, Joseph Jarman and Famoudou Don Moye- (we went and saw an action film the night before they performed)

John Vocci did some fantastic black and white photos of the performers but not sure if they were ever released. Some of the funding came from Meet The Composers Arts grants. Marty came a couple of times, once with an ailing Julius Hemphill Roach gave a master class on how to listen to drumming Al was ‘CUW’s station manager I did a cooking show which was fairly novel in ‘77-78
