OK, I am having fun, too!

I considered doing an all-covers show but didn't really have time, but I did throw a few fun ones in
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:37pm David (in London):

Cyndi's version was actually itself a cover, wasn't it?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Julie:

It was!

Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:43pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

How many people listening to PopChart Radio in the 1970s knew YellowBrick was about gay sugardaddies ? ...As a male hetero I can relate to Class issues anyhow... but nevermind that...

Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:47pm chris in the redwoods:

wonder what the collected value of all clicky-stars is/would be to the artists, if all starred tracks were purchased.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Rich in Washington:

I came here to type 'this is lovely' and saw the band name.
Avatar 12:48pm Hubig Pie:

Beautiful song
Beautiful cover
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:49pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I am thee clickystar slut. I treat them like faceborg Likes - or applause for anything I think is good @ all. For lack of - anything else...
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:49pm ParUbi:

I thought I recognized this song, wow
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Would think it takes some guts to cover KateB - but it happens !
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Rich in Bay Ridge:

This is very nice. Wish I didnt have one ear in a work meeting
Avatar 12:50pm Sylvia (France-NYC):

great cover
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:51pm Handy Haversack:

I'm pretty free with them, too, Rev Rab. I mark stuff I want to get or look up but also stuff that crosses some sort of internally demarcated but obscurely defined wow threshold.
  12:53pm Bri:

Loved that Flower girl cover!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:53pm chris in the redwoods:

i do that as well, RevRab. it was more a thought experiment than anything else.
i keep looking at where our tax dollars go and wanting dollars to flow differently, which gets me thinking about broader economies, of a sort.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I think about being more discriminating - to I dunno - relieve the server or something - make clickystars more utilitarian for me ...but where is the line between just wanting to say thumbs up & really loving it ...my little interactive rat lever...
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Handy Haversack:

Chris, they should be like tickets at the arcade. Redeemable for musical prizes, from guitar strings to theremins!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@ least notify the Artists - if we were in some kind of Information Age...
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:58pm chris in the redwoods:

i'm gonna save mine up for a complete set of formal tuning forks, in that case, Handy.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:59pm David (in London):

Handy, for example, 'Congratulations, you've won a MiniMoog made out of pastrami!'
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:00pm Handy Haversack:

Though since there is no clean consumption under capitalism, assigning value to them would immediately lead to a Faceborgian engagement economy -- oh, hello, Spotify.

Chris, as soon as I get good at Skee Ball, I'm starting a band!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...how about an MOR EasyListening stream service - Blandcamp...
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:03pm Handy Haversack:

TDK yeah - a perennial / periodic topic...

Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:33pm Julie:

that's Zohra, also of Azar Swan
Avatar 1:33pm TDK60:

Thanks RevRab63. I was thinking about that. That I don't always click because they're faves; other reasons exist.
Avatar 1:34pm Sylvia (France-NYC):

yeah, the legs are ok but upper body looks odd to me
Avatar 1:34pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

Nope, this time I did not forget the fill-in - but afternoon nap took its time, so the first half-hour I listened from bed. Anyway, HELLO, there's too many of you already to greet separately.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Julie:

welcome Cha Cha!
Avatar 1:35pm TDK60:

Now that you mention it Sylvia, the arm is odd. Maybe they're holding a fake arm with their right arm?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:39pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...a little 'double-jointed' ...these dramatic Artistes...
Or ! - maybe Paul is Dead...
Avatar 1:41pm TDK60:

Yeah, maybe they're just unusually double-jointed.
Avatar 1:41pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

That Piroshka track sounded pretty good, maybe come next Bandcamp friday... Plus, they have a new record (album was it?) coming out this summer

@1:48 Julie: no, not really, but I am as reasonable as a teenager. Why buy something necessary, when you can invest your pennies into soemthing fun. This apartment sorely needs to be renovated (though I am not sure if I could afford it) but I prefer to buy records instead.

I have .25 arc out here in Boonton, NJ
Grass is a suckers game! Fortunately, the prior owner before our purchase 12 yr ago planted sooo many plant the return every year and a new round pops up every 2 weeks as the prior fades! All spring, all summer, like clock work. I was soooooo excited to see moss popping in-between the grass starting 3 years ago! It looks cool and is super soft!
However, don’t go the ivy/ground myrtle ground cover!
They dominate, and then you are back to the ubiquitous sameness of lawn, where every dandelion is not a flower BUT A NEMESIS!!!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:26pm chris in the redwoods:

spring flowers - columbine, poppies, iris, tulips
summer/fall - dahlias are amazing
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:26pm Phillippe:

I'm at the point that I'll take grass over gardens and ground cover. Our house was built in the 50s and the same owner lived there until we bought it 3 years ago. She was into gardening when she was younger, but she was 91 when she sold us the house and hadn't taken care of the place for years. Its lovely today -- there are 70+ azalea bushes scattered over the property, but invasive ground cover was everywhere. the yard (and basement) were full of rodents and snakes until we started clearing stuff out. Way too much gardening for me
